Deirdre Azzopardi, OTD, President

With a passion for promoting and supporting disability inclusion in schools, Deirdre joined our board of directors in June 2021. She has more than 25 years of experience working with students of varying abilities in public and private schools, including expertise in working with children with autism spectrum disorder. Deirdre has both a bachelor’s degree and a doctoral degree in occupational therapy, as well as a master’s degree in psychology. Additionally, she is a registered yoga teacher and trained mindfulness instructor. Currently a school-based occupational therapist, Deirdre has presented extensively on topics related to social-emotional learning. She lives in New Jersey.
