Amanda Darrow, MA, (she/her) is the director of programs at the Utah Pride Center. She holds a master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in clinical and counseling psychology, both from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. Amanda is passionate about inclusion and social justice and began her advocacy with her thesis research project entitled, “The Effects of a Heteronormative Classroom Environment on LGBTQ+ Students.” Following time working in higher and elementary education, Amanda joined the Utah Pride Center where she strives to make homes more accepting and welcoming for our youth and families; works to make schools and community spaces more inclusive for all; and educates current and future generations about our incredible LGBTQIA+ community.
