Suddenly it’s the end of the school year! I’m not sure how that happened, but I want to thank all of our partner schools for partnering with us this past year and to thank all of our donors and friends for supporting our work. It’s been a wonderful year of positive growth for Changing Perspectives and I’m honored to share some of our successes with you:
- 40 schools – a 90% increase over last year – became Changing Perspectives partners. More than 400+ educators had access to customizable resources to initiate and guide respectful exploration around differences.
- We’ve expanded our reach to new partner states, including California, Connecticut, Massachusetts & Maine.
- We’ve launched our PreK Empathy and Kindness Curriculum as well as our High School Disability Awareness Curriculum.
As we continue to grow and expand, the Changing Perspectives team and I are grateful for all of our partner schools. Our work in school strives to fulfill our mission of creating a more empathetic world by reducing bullying and social isolation in schools by teaching about differences. I believe that it’s now more important than ever that schools not only think about the importance of school culture and climate, but to also take action to make sure that every school makes ALL students feel accepted and valued as part of the community.
Thank you for being part of our family. As always, I’d love to hear how the Changing Perspectives curricula impacted your school. Let us know!
I look forward to continuing to develop our partnership and I wish you a meaningful summer.
Warmly,
Sam Drazin
Executive Director
