Madeline Strong - Changing Perspectives

Madeline Strong

Madeline Strong is a seventh-grade math teacher in a suburban Michigan school district with a passion for helping students build confidence and discover their potential as mathematicians. Throughout her teaching career, she has focused on fostering strong relationships with students, making mathematics accessible to learners with diverse needs, and challenging the belief that some students are simply “not math people.” By creating supportive learning environments and addressing gaps in foundational knowledge, Madeline works to ensure all students have the opportunity to succeed.

In addition to her classroom responsibilities, Madeline is actively pursuing a master’s degree in Educational Administration and is committed to developing her leadership skills within education. She serves on her district’s School Improvement Team and will begin serving as the seventh-grade math department lead in the upcoming school year. Her professional interests include educational leadership, school culture, and creating equitable opportunities for all students to thrive.

Outside of her professional work, Madeline enjoys spending time outdoors, including hiking, camping, kayaking, and disc golfing. She resides in Michigan with her two cats.
