Edward Avinger, EdD, is a charismatic public presenter, a multi-state licensed educator and educational leader, and secondary principal at The Bancroft School, a public elementary/middle school in Wilmington, Delaware. Ed has extensive experience in high needs student populations, urban education, behavior management, black studies, and mentoring. He has applied his leadership skills and passion for supporting students achieve their potential to a host of projects, from a district-level planning committee to revamp the IEP process to a city-wide school transformation initiative to a middle school summer program. Since 2021, he has been a member of Changing Perspectives’s board of directors. Ed holds a master’s degree in education, a master’s degree in building-level educational leadership, and a doctoral degree in educational leadership: administration and policy.
