Embedding Inclusive Social-Emotional Learning

This virtual three-day immersive professional development opportunity focuses on creating more inclusive social-emotional learning for your learning community.

August 1, 2, 4

10:00am – 4:00 pm EST

Changing Perspectives is pleased to partner with Castleton University to offer educators an opportunity to learn, engage, and explore what fully inclusive social-emotional learning and practice means to them. SEL is at the foundation of student success. How do we ensure that SEL is inclusive, accessible, and relevant to ALL students within our learning communities? Through workshops, keynote speakers, and small cohort breakout groups, participants in this three-day, virtual institute will gain new perspectives, knowledge, strategies, and tools to enhance SEL instruction and practice in their school communities.

Participant Outcomes:

  • Define what inclusive SEL means to you in the context of your unique learning community’s needs

  • Assess current inclusive SEL practices in your school community

  • Consider diversity of all types within your school community

  • Learn strategies for gaining buy-in from administrator, colleagues, and families

  • Integrate your learning and reflection to develop an action plan for implementing inclusive SEL practices in your learning community
