Ellen Hogan (she/hers) is the Accessibility Technologist for Learning and Instruction in the Office of Teaching and Learning (OTL) at the University of Denver (DU). Ellen is passionate about accessibility and the Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Her research focuses on the major differences in the accommodation process from K-12 into Higher Education. As the Accessibility Technologist for Learning and Instruction, Ellen collaborates with faculty across DU focusing on accessible course design and implementation of student disability-related accommodations. Ellen earned a BA in Special Education with a focus in Learning and Behavior and a minor in Psychology from Illinois State University. She is currently enrolled as a candidate for the Masters of Higher Education in the Morgridge School of Education at DU. She spent the beginning of her career as a Special Education teacher for students in 6th- 12th grade. Ellen is a born and raised Chicagoan (Go Cubs!); she relocated to Denver in 2018 to enjoy family, nature, and new experiences! Ellen joined the Changing Perspectives Board of Directors in June of 2022.
